  • What are Fresh Start Plans?
    Fresh Start Plans allow you to have a year-round account with access to a beautifully detailed and clean car. You may browse plans on our website to see which plan best fits your car and family needs.
  • How does scheduling work?
    Once you sign up for a plan, you're eligible to schedule your first detail. You can schedule online via our intuitive web app or by automated text. For future details, once your plan renews each time, you'll receive an email and text reminder to schedule your detail! From here, you can simply book online with our web app or respond to the text.
  • How does billing work?
    Your credit card will be charged on the first day of your plan, and subsequently at each plan cycle. So if you're on a quarterly plan, you'll be charged on your start date, and each 3 months thereafter. A professional invoice will be automatically delivered to your email at every billing cycle with details on your specific plan and instructions on how to book your plan appointment.
  • Can I change or cancel my plan?
    Yes, you can change or cancel your plan at anytime after the first detail. You may do this yourself by using your account online access or call us to make any changes.
  • What do the Fresh Start plans include?
    Our plans vary depending on the plan type. You can find detailed plan information under the "Plan Inclusions" section of our website. If you have any questions on what your plan will include, feel free to contact us directly at support@freshstartautodetail.com or call us at 314-254-1384.
  • How often would you recommend getting my car detailed?
    Your plan frequency level is based on your individual and family preference, as well as your desired level of cleanliness and aesthetics. We are happy to provide a recommendation to help find the appropriate frequency level for your detailing needs. While once a year is often enough for individual drivers, we have many clients who enjoy our service each month or on a quarterly basis.
  • How do I sign up?
    You may sign up online for your Fresh Start Plan or also convert your one-off appointment to a Premier™ plan upon request. Our easy to use online platform allows you to log into your account to review and monitor your plan at anytime.
  • What is the Family Share Plan?
    Fresh Start's Family Share Plans allow you the option to swap between family cars, SUVs, and ATVs at your discretion. Family share plans include gratuity in the plan pricing and can be signed up online or by requesting a callback on our website.
  • How do I login to your website to review my account?
    You can login to our website by navigating to the account login section on the mobile quick access bar, or at the top of our desktop homepage. We suggest using Google or Facebook assisted login for easy access to your account.
  • Can you come to my work or home?
    We can come to all homes and many work locations in our service range. For work locations, we require enough space surrounding the car to be able to safely perform the detail without interfering with other cars. Please contact us if you have a specific location in mind you would like to inquire about.
  • What geographic areas do you cover?
    Fresh Start is based in Chesterfield, Missouri USA and provides service to many surrounding communities within St. Louis. Please check our geographic service range for more detailed information on what services are available in your area.
  • How do I let my detailer access my car?
    You can either meet your detailer at your detail location or remote unlock your car from wherever you are.
  • Do you have a guarantee?
    Yes! All of our premium details come with a 7-day spot check guarantee. If you're not happy with the service or we missed a spot, we will happily come back and make it right.
  • How long will it take?
    Total detailing time will depend on the condition of the car and the service level requested. Full details typically take around 3-4 hours, depending on car type and any add-ons selected. Express cleans are limted to 90 minutes.
  • Do I need to be present to get my car or SUV/Truck detailed?
    We request you be present at the beginning of your first detail so we may learn about any special requests or preferences you may have. For any following appointments, your presence is not required.
  • What is an XL SUV?
    As interior specialists, we consider vehicles with a third row to fall under the XL category. If you have a small third row seat and would like to opt out of having it detailed, we are happy to honor the mid-SUV price.
  • Do I need to empty my car before the detail?
    Simply remove any personal belongings from your car and we'll take care of the rest. If any personal items are left in the vehicle, we will either work around them or place them in a sealed bag and leave them in the trunk or underneath the driver's seat. Typically, we do not detail center consoles or glove compartments unless items have been moved in advance.
  • When do I pay?
    Payments are made at the beginning of each billing cycle. When your plan renews, your credit card will be charged automatically, and your account will be credited. Please allow up to 24 hours for your payment to process and your account to be credited.   • Should I tip my detailer?
    Tipping is appreciated for excellent quality service and attention to your vehicle; however, this is entirely your discretion and we recommend tipping what you're comfortable with. 100% of any tip goes directly to the detailer. Family share plans include gratuity in the plan pricing.
  • Are you insured?
    We are fully insured in the rare chance of an accident occurring while we are detailing your car.
  • Can I cancel or reschedule?
    Yes, you can cancel or reschedule at anytime up to 24 hours in advance of your appointment. If you have an account with us, you may reschedule online; otherwise, please call or email to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
  • Do you supply your own water and power?
    Yes, we supply our own water and power onboard our detailing van. We don't need to plug into any electrical outlets or use your hose.
  • How are you different than a car wash?

  • What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
    We will typically detail in any weather above 38° F degrees without heavy wind, rain or snow. We anticipate about 260 plus detailing days per year, so rest assured we will find the time to navigate any weather challenges we may face. We will reach out within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time if a reschedule is needed.
  • What's the difference between an express clean and a full detail?
    Express cleans are ideal for individual drivers with cars in good condition, for those who don't need every nook and cranny detailed, or for those that are okay with a less detailed clean. Express clean service is limited to 90 minutes, whereas the 3-4 hour full detail service is deigned to allow for enough time for most cars to be restored to like-new condition.
  • How are you different from other detailing companies?
    One of the main ways we're different from traditional detailing companies is that we're interior specialists. Since most of your experience driving will be spent on the inside, we believe our interior focus provides the best value and detailing experience for our customers. While we still wash the outside of your car as part of our full premium detail service, we're happy to provide recommendations to other companies for any specialized exterior services such as window tinting, ceramic coatings, or paint protection films. Most importantly, we apply a thorough and disciplined approach to our detailing. All of our services follow our proprietary detailing method and full details come with a 30-point checklist to ensure your satisfaction.
  • What is the difference between cleaning and detailing?
    Fresh Start brings a cleaning-focused approach to detailing. We use construction-grade steam and air tools to remove any dirt or grime. Approximately 85% of our time is spent using our top-of-the-line steamer, air compressor, and shop vacuum to restore your surface's original condition. The remaining time is spent finishing your trim and seats with our premium conditioning products. This last step, while not time intensive if the car has been properly cleaned, helps provide that new car look and feel. If the cleaning portion of the detail has been compromised, any coating products will likely leave a greasy, unfinished feel to your car.
