Steam has been around for centuries but not all detailers make steam cleaning a big part of their process. We’ll explain why steam is so effective at cleaning cars, trucks and SUVs and why we use it to help bring your car back to pristine condition.
1) Steam is efficient. Steam can cover a large amount of surface area inside a vehicle in a small amount of time. Steam can quickly and efficiently take off the surface layer of film or residue. We ensure a deep and thorough clean by including a steam clean before we agitate all of your vehicle’s surfaces.
2) Steam is a natural disinfectant that kills 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses. With a running temperature of 316 degrees Fahrenheit and a 72.5 PSI high pressure steam output, steam can easily sanitize all surfaces. We recommend steam cleaning interior surfaces at least every 3 months to help protect against the spread of germs and pollutants.
3) Steam is eco-friendly. Steam is 95% dry which means that not only will a minimal amount of water residue be left on surfaces, but overall water usage is extremely limited. In fact, we can clean the entire surface of a car with less than ½ gallon of water. Compare that with a typical car wash that can use up to 100 gallons of water per wash!
4) Steam uses less chemicals. Steam is an all-natural way to clean which uses high temperature and pressure remove built up dirt and grime from car surfaces. With these superb cleaning capabilities, we use less chemicals which can leave long-term damage to car fabrics and the environment.
5) Steam is safe to use on all surfaces. Whether it be the leather seating or fabric upholstery, engine bay area or wheels and brakes, steam can be used on all types of grime and residue by changing the steam applicator tool. Our microfiber towels and bonnets make sure we never scratch any sensitive surfaces.
